“Exhausts” on the Q5 are fake. You can actually see them pointing down, behind the bumper.

Fake Exhausts, Fake news, Fake Boobs,
Don’t know what is real anymore

All too common. The facelifted Golf has obviously blanked “exhausts”

I never noticed that before and I’ve seen my fair share of Q5's.
Also LUNCH:

I love that both of my B5 Passats have had hidden, down-facing exhausts. If you’re not obsessed with exhausts (like almost everyone is), it makes for a very clean design and better departure angles for driveways or hills.
Everyone gives in to fakery eventually. Image wins. All these transverse engines with fake (or semi-fake) dual exhaust tips, even when it makes more sense to route them all down one side or the other.

It’s basically decorative trim now, they aren’t even trying to make them look like exhaust tips haha.

I can hide dank weed in those

Mercedes certainly gave up trying. Decorative trim, nothing else.

Yeah thats more of a styling flourish than anything else.

The SQ5 has very real exhausts
But its a normal trend, I’d rather have them do what Range Rovers had (just no pretend exhaust, port it out below the bumper)
Oh wait, the refresh got rid of that?
Nevermind.

My take is the older Q5 was a better and more cohesive design. This new one just has curves and creases that don’t make much sense. Even though I am proud they are made in Mexico.

Yeah, I mentioned that I wasn’t a fan of that ‘feature’ when we were in the dealership a few weeks ago and the salesperson seemed befuddled that it wasn’t a quad-tipped dual exhaust as it used to be (S cars). I was befuddled at their befuddlement.
